Storyline Update
12.4.11

Storyline Outline

- The world is known as Tetatera, created by the ALL-god Argoth. Both him and his son Risea are responsible for creating the world and its inhabitants. Both Argoth and Risea and now part of the earth itself and heaven is void. The world is divided into sections controlled by their respective races.

- The races on Tetatera which can be chosen as characters are man, mere-person, liken, vampire, elf, bird-folk, dragon, and any combination of half-bloods.

- The story begins in the city of Vagabond, a city of outcasts from the other races. A great war between The Red Worlock and the vampire clans against him converges on the city of Vagabond, a city with no ties to this war, and the city is destroyed in the midst of the war. Now, the survivors of the city must come together to locate two ancient relics at the opposite ends of the world that grant any wish, so that they might bring back Vagabond.

Detailed Storyline Background

Eons past, when the earth was still void and man had not yet tread on it; Argoth the ALL-god ruled the solitude of heaven.  Risea, the first born of Argoth came to him and asked, “Father Argoth, the angels and demons and all the spirits you have placed under my authority have asked me, ‘For what purpose have we been made?’”

And Argoth answered, “You and all the angels and demons and all the spirits were made because I willed it to be so.”

Risea carried this message throughout high heaven and proclaimed it to all the heavenly hosts and they replied, “Why has ALL-god willed us to be?”

So Risea inquired of ALL-god, “Argoth, ALL-god of high heaven, all the hosts of your heaven want to know why you willed us to be.”

And Argoth answered, “I willed you, my beloved first born and all the angels and demons and the hosts of heaven to be because heaven was void and desolate and there was no life in it.”

So Risea carried this reply throughout the heavens and proclaimed it to all the heavenly hosts.

All the hosts of high heaven gathered and talked amongst themselves and then they came to Risea and said, “For what purpose do we live?  What must we with our lives?  Has Father ALL-god given us no purpose to be but to take up space?  We wish for a purpose.”

So Risea approached All-god once more and said, “Father, all the hosts of heave have come to me and asked to be given purpose for their existence.”

Argoth was sad that the hosts of high heaven were not content to be in his presence and he spoke to Risea, “I have failed to satisfy the angels and demons and spirits of heaven and I vow that because of this I will never create new life because the pain it caused me when they became dissatisfied is too great.  Gather all the hosts and present them to me I shall remake them and give them new purpose.”

And Risea did as ALL-god instructed.  He went to the high places where the angles dwelt and then he went to the low places where the demons dwelt and then he went all across the heaves and gathered all the spirits that live in heaven.  Risea did this and he brought them all before his father, ALL-god.

Argoth, ALL-god, looked upon the hosts of heaven and saw that they were not content to be in his presence.  He took the angels first and he fashioned them into light.  He took the demons second and fashioned them into darkness.  The light was not allowed to touch the darkness and the darkness was not allowed to enter into the light.

But Argoth saw that the two had to meet and so he took the other spirits of high heaven and he took a piece of the light and a piece of the darkness and he made them together.  From this he formed the world and he called it Tetatera and only on Tetatera the light and dark could meet.  Then Argoth rested.
Risea came to Argoth and said, “Father you work is beautiful but I still lack purpose.  What shall I do?”

And Argoth answered, “My son, the Earth is yours, create on it and make it bring forth life.  This I have give you, my first born, it was made from the angels and demons and all the hosts of heaven that I gave to you for you to command and it will answer to your voice.  I have made the angels and demons and spirits for you because I loved you and I have made the world for you because I loved you.”

Risea was pleased and went about making first plants in the world and then he filled the oceans and seas of Tetatera with fish and all kinds of swimming creatures.  Then Risea Said to his father, “I shall also make beasts to walk upon the dry land and I shall make things that creep and crawl in the dirt and things that fly in the sky.  And I will make them because it is what you have given me to do, and I will fill the world you gave me with life.”  And it was so.

And Risea created all living creatures on Tetatera to be male and female and to bring forth offspring of their own kind and fill the world with life.  For eons Risea created life in Tetatera and Spent all his time creating in its waters and on its land and in its sky.  Then ALL-god saw this and said, “My son loves not me but the world I made for him.  He has forgotten me and the one I made to love and be loved no longer cares for me in his heart that I made in his chest.”  And Argoth wept.

And one day Risea was looking down at his creation and desired to walk among the plants and the trees and the waters he had created on its surface.   But he could not because there was a barrier between heaven and Tetatera that no one in heaven could step down and no one in the world could ascend to heaven.  So Risea looked up from Tetatera and presented himself before ALL-god and said, “Father I wish to see what the world looks like up close.  May you permit me to tread on its surface?”

And ALL-god answered, “I made you to love me and I you.  But instead you love the world.  You shall walk on it and you shall never ascend to heaven, you are banished from heaven!”

And so Risea was cast from heaven and fell with thunder to Tetatera and Argoth was alone in heaven once again.

Argoth wept because his heart had been broken.  His heart was broken and he no longer desired companionship and he turned his face away from the world where his son was and he vowed never to create new life again.

Risea walked the earth for many eons and did not talk to his father because his father had turned his face away from him.  One day while Risea was walking on the earth of his world he looked to the sky and saw light and darkness and they hid his view to heaven but he called out in his distress, “Father!  I repent of my sins for now I understand what you have felt for me and I know what it was like to be alone!  I have filled this world with life but there is not one in my likeness with whom to share its beauty.  This place is desolate and I am alone in my own creation!”

ALL-god heard the words of his son and his heart was broken again because now they were both alone and there was a void between them that could not be transcended.  No one could step out of the realm of the gods and ever return.  He wept and all of heaven shook with his weeping but no one heard his cry.  “What have I done?”  Argoth lamented, “I have cast my only son from heaven and now he is alone in a desolate place!  And because I have cast him from my presence I too am alone in a desolate place!”  And Argoth was so overcome with his grief that he vowed never to create new life again.

Risea then found it right in his loneliness to create a companion for himself as Argoth had created him and so he spat in the dirt and made mud.  And from the mud he made a new life and formed it in his likeness.  He called the creature ‘man’ but it was dumb like the animals and beasts so Risea gave a portion of his spirit into the man so that the man could think like him.  The man did not have Risea’s godly might or his powers but the man could think like him.

And he named this man Arothor, first child of the gods.  And Risea told the man, Arothor the story of how all things came to be and the man, Arothor understood these things because Risea gave him the ability to think.

For many eons Risea and the man walked the surface of Tetatera together and one day the man asked his father, “My father, all the animals have been made male and female why have I been created alone?”

Risea knew this desire for companionship that the man felt could not be fulfilled by him or even his own father Argoth.  The man, Arothor was in his likeness and his desire for another like him was strong.  Arothor had been made in the likeness of his father but Arothor was a man and his father was a god, they were alike but they were not proper companions.

This saddened Risea but he loved the man and he knew if the man was to ever be happy he would need a proper companion.  And so Risea again spat in the dirt and made mud.  And from the mud he made a woman and he gave the woman part of his spirit so that she could think like him.  Then Risea took the woman to Arothor and said, “Behold, I give you a woman, a companion for you in this world, I have made her for you because I love you and I give you the world, it is yours.”
And the man replied, “My father the woman you gave me is beautiful but why are you also giving me the world?”

And Risea answered Arothor, “I have given you and the woman portions of my soul and I do not have the strength left in my heart to be as a god so I shall disperse my soul into Tetatera.  Take care of the word for you will be taking care of my body, I am not leaving but I am going away.”

And the man said to Risea, “Father I will do what you have asked, all the world is sacred for you will be in it.”

And then Risea said to them man, “I will go in peace but first what will you name the woman?”

Then the man thought and he looked at the woman and saw that she was beautiful and so he named her Anolini and said, “She shall be my wife.”

Then Risea answered, “Go with your wife and populate the world with your offspring, rule the land and sea and overcome the creatures and subdue them to your authority.  I am giving you this command because I made you in my likeness and in you is a portion of my soul, you are greater than the beasts because you have a portion of my soul.”  Then Risea dispersed his soul into the earth and the waters and into the sky and into all parts of Tetatera because his soul was not strong enough to remain as a god.

Many more eons passed and man filled the earth and ALL-god saw what was happening.  Man reminded him of his son whom he loved and so he desired to descend form the solitude of heaven to the earth since Risea’s spirit was broken and scattered over it.  And so ALL-god left heaven and entered Tetatera to be with is son.

Argoth came to the world in spirit so the world would not see him and he joined with the spirit of Risea and filled Tetatera. ALL-god left heaven and heaven was now completely void and there was no god or spirit left in heaven.

Argoth watched man because man was like his son.  And Argoth saw that man worked in cycles and rested in cycles and so he called the time for work “day” and the time for rest he called “night.”  And he looked again and saw that man grew harvest also in cycles and that everything in Tetatera moved in cycles and seasons.
And ALL-god decreed, “I have vowed never to make new life but I will take the broken pieces of my son and remake a god of cycles to govern the day and night and to govern the seasons of planting and harvest and summer and winter.”

Heaven was void but ALL-god created a tear in the void between heaven and earth and some of the divine energy leaked onto the earth.  Argoth then took a portion of his son’s spirit and he took the manna from heaven and he took dirt from the ground and he created a great one in the likeness of his son and made him a god and said to him, “Son of heaven and earth I give you dominion over the cycles and season of the world, they are yours to govern and I shall call you Solex.”
And Argoth took a portion of manna and gave it to Solex to see what he would do because he had the spirit of Risea in him.

And Solex saw what he could do with the manna and he began to create.  From the sky he took an eagle and from the fields he took a man and he fused them together with manna and their spirits became one.  The man became like the eagle and the eagle like man and the man fathered a new race of those who fly.  The race was man but the race was eagle, having the strengths of both and being able to appear as man or bird and also they could be like both in appearance.  These men lived in
the mountains and trained birds.

ALL-god saw this and was pleased.

Then Argoth watched man and saw that man was alive and that from the things that lived he took life.  Man took life from the grain and fruits and man took life from the beast and the fish and so he said, “I have sworn to never create new life but I will take a portion of my son’s spirit and again manna from heaven and make a god of all that lives.  He will be the god of the forest where things grow in abundance.”
And so he caused a second rift in heaven and manna spilled out.  He then formed a new god as he had before.  And he said to this new god, “Behold you are called Nature and I give you dominion over all that lives, you will have dominion over the plants and the animals and all that lives but man will not be ruled because he is like my son.”

Again there was leftover manna so Argoth gave a portion to Nature to see what he would make. And Nature took a man from the field who grew things and loved the forest all that grew in it and loved wisdom and he gave the manna to him and increased his years and extended his wisdom.  This man fathered the race that has become the elves.  They are long-lived and harbor the wisdom of many generations and they hold to the virtues of the woods and they love the earth.
Then Argoth looked again and saw a man die.  The other men took his body and threw it into the sea and Argoth saw this is what happened to all man and so he decreed, “I shall again take a portion of my son and manna from heaven and make a god to rule over the seas and to watch over the souls of men who are dead.”
And Argoth fashioned a goddess, the sister of Nature, and then spoke to her, “Behold, you are called, Mariana.  I have formed you from the soul of my son and from manna from heaven and from the dirt of the earth.  You will be the ruler of all waters and the guardian of souls.  When man goes down to the depths of the sea you will keep the spirit so that it does not wonder.  When you brother Nature can no longer sustain them you will keep them safe.  You are the god of waters and all keeper of the dead.”

The manna that was left over ALL-god gave to Mariana to do with as she pleased and she took from the sea a Marlin and she took from the dry land a man.  The man and the fish were fused together and their souls became one.  Just like the bird-people the man fathered those who dwell in the water.  And the Mer-people could take the form of man or fish and also they could be like both in appearance.  The Mermen were also given the power to breath under water even in human form.
Then Argoth saw that man took curses against one another and did evil to one another.  And ALL-god said, “There shall be a god to govern the good and evil.”  And so once again he tore a hole for the manna to flow.  Then Argoth, ALL-god, took a portion of Risea’s spirit and a portion of his own spirit because Risea’s spirit was getting weaker and the manna from heaven and the dirt from Tetatera and formed Luxious.

And ALL-god decreed to Luxious, “Behold you are called Luxious!  I have formed you from the heart of my son and a portion of my mind.  I have fused you with manna from heaven and with dirt from the earth.  You will govern good and evil and you keep safe one from the other.”

And then just as the light was forced to separate from the dark so the good separated from the evil and Luxious split in to two persons, one to govern all that is good and the other to govern all that is evil.  And the two persons were called Luxia and Luxea.  They were the same person but they were separate, their hearts were as one but they contested one another and their touch was repelled and they could not come in contact.

Argoth was intrigued and he gave each of them a portion of the manna that was left over and each of them departed with it, Luxia to the south and Luxea to the north.  There they each built a monument and they used the manna to create a link to heaven that would slowly leak manna and they each build a temple to contain it.  From this manna they took great reptiles and Luxia caused them to fly and breath ice and Luxea caused them to fly and breath fire.  And these became dragons and were feared by men.  Then Luxious gave the dragons a second heart, the heart of a man and they were able to transform like the bird people and the mermen to become human.  These men were the righteous and upright and the villain and the wicked.  The dragon people were either entirely pure or entirely evil.
Many eons passed and Argoth still watched man and he felt that his spirit was weakening because he was no longer in heaven.

And many lifetimes of men rose and fell and a great war broke out.  ALL-god looked and saw the war was full of passion; love for homeland and brothers and families and hate for those that threatened the things loved.  And ALL-god decreed, “I shall make a god of war.”

Then from a portion of his spirit and a portion of the soul of Risea and from the manna that leaked to earth from the temples of good and evil and from the dirt he made Amora.  And ALL-god spoke to her, “Amora!  You were made to rule the emotions of love and hate and to govern passion for passion is driven by love and hate.  You are given authority over all the wars on Tetatera and you alone can sway the hearts of men into and away from passion and cause them to love and hate.”

Amora was young among the gods because the other gods were far older.
Then Argoth took a portion of the manna that Luxious kept in his temples and gave it to her to see what she would make.  And Amora took from the forest a wolf who hunts by night and from the city of men she took a man who wages war and with the manna she fused them together and their souls were one.  Just like the bird-people and those of the sea the man fathered those who train wolves.  And the wolf-men could take the form of man or wolf and also they could be like both in appearance.  The wolf-kind were also given the power to heal wounds in the moonlight.  And they were also given the power to charm through songs.

The war continued for half a lifetime and was brought to an end by a great fire that burnt the world and caused all men to die and go to Mariana.  Then Argoth said, “There must be a god of fire and a brother for Amora to ensure that fire never burns the world again in peace time or war for it has caused much death.”

And so he took a portion of his soul and a part of his son’s and some of the manna in the temples of good and evil and some of the ash of the earth and made Fueges.  And ALL-god spoke to Fueges, the youngest of the gods, “Behold you are the god of death and you are given power to burn with flames, you name is Fueges.  You hold the power to burn but and you will govern the fire so that the world will never burn again but only what you desire to burn.”

And then Argoth and the soul of Risea and all the gods were overcome with grief because man had been destroyed and all of the earth was burnt.  Then Mariana wept over the ashes and the rain carried the souls of men and from the ashes life rose again.  All the plants and animals and man also rose from the ashes and the world was even more beautiful than before and so ALL-god called forth Fueges and said to him, “Your fire has the power of death and you are the god of death but the ashes you create yield new life and you are also the god or rebirth.  From your ashes the world was remade and it has risen more beautiful than before and the corruption has been purged from it.”  And so Fueges, the youngest of the gods was made god of death and rebirth and Argoth gave him a portion of the manna concealed in the temples of good and evil.

Then Fueges took the manna and he took a soul from the waters where Mariana lived and he took a corps and a piece of the darkness and gave the corps a new soul and caused it to walk as if it had not yet died and then he took a piece of the darkness and used the manna to join the darkness to the man and the man became reborn as a creature of darkness and Fueges said, “Because in the first life you lived in the light and worked by light and slept during darkness I will cause you to thrive in the darkness and you will sleep in the time of light.”
This man fathered the Vampires and they took the form of night creatures and shadows and also humans and they could appear as both at once.  They also had the power to heal wounds by drinking the blood of the living.  And to help them draw prey they were give the power of seduction.

And now Argoth saw the spirit of his son was thin so he sent the last piece of Risea’s soul to live in the south where the temple was so that it could become strong with the manna.  And Argoth also saw that his own soul was weak and the earth was draining his strength so he went away to the north where the temple was and lived in the manna that was there.

Then the Tetatera was governed by the gods that Argoth had made from his son’s soul and his own spirit and manna and earth.  And heaven remained empty for no one could ever ascend to heaven.
